High Priest, Intercessor, Mediator, Counsellor, & Judge
Jesus, the name that is above every name is God the Son. He is also the light that shows us the way. Even before creation He already knew the future. Scripture portrays Jesus as many things. I testify before mankind that He is my Savior & Lord. It happened once I repented as a sinner; then began to read the scriptures, which pointed me toward the person that I was supposed to become. There are several examples of what I should strive to become as I look to Christ Jesus as my role model. How about you?
High Priest, Hebrews 3:1 – Jesus is spoken of by the writer of Hebrews as the Apostle and the High Priest of our confession. When Apostle is spoken; it means ‘a sent one’. Jesus was sent from the Father, in Heaven, to earth. Just like Moses was sent by God to Egypt to physically deliver the Hebrews to the Promised Land. Jesus, the Son of God, was sent to act as High Priest and spiritually help enable us Humans to make the right choice, which is to choose to walk the narrow road and then thru the narrow gate into Heaven. Have you done that; or are you ready to do it now?
Other verses pertaining to Jesus as High Priest – Hebrews 4:14, Hebrews 5:1 & 5:5-6
Intercessor, Hebrews 7:25-27 – Scripture is talking about Jesus acting as our intercessor; who is able to save forever those who draw near to God through him. Jesus is at the right hand of God, the Father, speaking on behalf of us who have repented and put our trust in him. Jesus is the one who shed blood for our atonement. Leviticus chapter 16; In the Torah, it describes how the Law to Israel was to take place for Atonement. Jesus took the place of the goat (vs.15) by becoming the sin offering. (One time for all people)
What is a scapegoat? (vs. 21-22)
What does it mean; “For the life of the flesh is in the blood….” (Lev. 17:11)
Blood carries life sustaining elements to all parts of the body.
Jesus blood was the substitute for my eternal life.
Mediator, 1 Timothy 2:5 – According to the Apostle who wrote to Timothy; there is one mediator between God and man; he is Christ Jesus. What does a mediator do?
When two parties are at variance; the mediator reconciles the differences.
Jesus became the mediator between God the Father and mankind; Jesus was our substitute and thus the redeemer of mankind; God, when hearing Jesus mediate the words, “I took their place for that sin,” God forgives my sin. I am justified thru Jesus.
[People, if we are not of Christ; we default to antichrist.]
Counsellor, Isaiah 9:6 – Immanuel, the child is to be born to us. His name is to be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, and Prince of Peace.
He is someone who gives people good advice.
The question is; have you taken the advice Jesus gives us in the scriptures?
Judge, 2 Timothy 4:1-2, 8 – The Apostle was writing to Timothy and told him about a time in the future when Christ Jesus was to Judge ALL; that Timothy was to preach, exhort, rebuke, and be patient as he gave instruction to the people.
We too have been given the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) to share with the people. The time is shorter [almost 2000 years] than when Paul told Timothy so take the opportunity to share while people will listen. There is a time coming when sound doctrine will not be endured and tolerance for the Christian will end.
As Paul kept the faith; we are to keep the faith. As the righteous Judge will give a ‘crown of righteousness’ to those who endure and finish the course; let us keep our faith in the one who is our High Priest, Mediator, Intercessor, and Judge.
Are you ready to trust and accept Jesus as your Lord & Savior?
When you do; He becomes your High Priest, Mediator, Intercessor, Counsellor & Judge

Scripture
Hebrews 3:1. Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession; 4:14. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession; 5:1. For every high priest taken from among men is appointed on behalf of men in things pertaining to God, in order to offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins; 5:5-6. So also Christ did not glorify Himself so as to become a high priest, but He who said to Him, “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”; 6 just as He says also in another passage, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”
Hebrews 7:25-27; therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. 26 For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.
Lev. 16:15. “Then he shall slaughter the goat of the sin offering which is for the people, and bring its blood inside the veil and do with its blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat and in front of the mercy seat. 16:21-22. Then Aaron shall lay both of his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the sons of Israel and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins; and he shall lay them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who stands in readiness. 22 The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to a solitary land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness. 17:11. For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’
1 Timothy 2:5. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
Isaiah 9:6. For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
2 Timothy 4:1-3, 8. I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 1-8. in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.
Matthew 28:18-20. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
