BS-5 ‘Who is Father God’?
Lesson Point – From what the Holy Bible teaches; who is God?
When you ‘think’ of ‘God’, who is it that you are thinking about? The Father, Son, or Holy Spirit?
When you ‘say’ Lord or God, who is it that you are speaking about? The Father, Son, or Holy Spirit?
If I am thinking correctly; only the Christian beliefs portray a TRINITY of God; the others have a single deity. Even Jesus, the SON, said that HE goes to the FATHER who is greater than him. GOD is unusual or different than man; the TRINITY fully get along with each other. A question, why can’t mankind?
Have you ever thought about what Father God might look or be like?
Hebrews 1:2-4 – GOD in these last days has spoken to us in [through] His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. 3 And Jesus is the radiance of Father God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.
[Father God is ‘His Majesty’ on the throne in heaven. The Son sits at HIS right hand, which is the place of power and authority.]
Revelation 1:12-16 – Then I [John writing] turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands; 13 and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. 14 His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. 15 His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. 16 In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.
[Christ is the exact representation of Father God; this SCRIPTURE is his description. Also, HE has hands, feet, and a face with eyes and a mouth. We are created in HIS image.]
Revelation 4:1-3 – After these things I [John] looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” 2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. 3 And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. [Father God’s throne room sparkling as a giant gem.]
Ezekiel 1:22-28 – Now over the heads of the living beings there was something like an expanse, like the awesome gleam of crystal, spread out over their heads. 23 Under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight, one toward the other; each one also had two wings covering its body on the one side and on the other. 24 I also heard the sound of their wings like the sound of abundant waters as they went, like the voice of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army camp; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings. 25 And there came a voice from above the expanse that was over their heads; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings.
26 Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne, like lapis lazuli [sapphire] in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man. 27 Then I noticed from the appearance of His loins and upward something like glowing metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His loins and downward I saw something like fire; and there was a radiance around Him. 28 As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking. [Again, mankind was created in the image of God.]
Does Father God ever speak?
Exodus 3:4-6 – When the Lord saw that he [Moses] turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” 5 Then He said, “Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” 6 He said also, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
[God spoke to Moses prior to sending him to Egypt. WHY remove your sandals, people? Because where God is present at; in that moment; it is Holy Ground.]
Matthew 3:17 – and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is MY beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.
[Just as Jesus was baptized in the Jordan; Father God spoke. Who did HIS speaking benefit?]
Matthew 17:5-6 – While Peter was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, “This is MY beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!” 6 When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground and were terrified.
[This happened when Christ was TRANSFIGURED on the mountain. GOD spoke for the benefit of the disciples to provide them with more Faith. In that moment the disciples were awestruck in spirit. How would you like to be awestruck by GOD speaking to you?]
Does God dwell in a physical body?
John 14:24 – God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. [Once a person repents and puts their TRUST in Christ as Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit indwells them. Mankind cannot truly worship God in SPIRIT until becoming BORN AGAIN.]
Colossians 1:15 – Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
[Do you think that Father God will revel himself in eternity? Awesome thought and IF there was a chance for me to vote; it would be YES.]
What was God’s eternal purpose for Saul of Tarsus to carry out?
Ephesians 3:1-13 – …vs.-6 – [Paul speaking] ..to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, 7 of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power. 8 To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, 9 and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; 10 so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. 11 This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord
[God’s sovereign purpose included the Gentiles. There are times when GOD does the choosing of the person he wants to lead. In today’s world; when the people are in ‘tune’ with GOD; the right person is elected; we all need to be in tune.]
Who spoke to Satan, concerning Job?
Job 1:6-8 – Now there was a day when the sons of God [Angels] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. 7 The Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.” 8 The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered MY servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil.”
[YHWH was the name of ‘the Lord’ in the Hebrew. Even GOD holds a staff meeting once in a while[Job 1:6]. Try to imagine what HIS agenda might be like. Try this one – The 7 Angels of Revelation; the ones who will speak to the 7 churches will also break 7 SEALS. The 7 trumpets are also going to be blown by the angels. Then there are 7 plagues that GOD has planned for his angels to unleash. Etc.. – So, what do you think, does GOD have a plan and does HE use the angels of heaven to fulfil it?]

Conclusion
Since Father God is all powerful and has the PLAN already in place; should mankind get on the same song sheet with GOD or do as the secular world is doing in today’s world? Doesn’t the secular world have its own song sheet; with GOD left out of the text? It sounds like, “I do it my way.” Doesn’t scripture tell us, who are bible believers, that there are two paths that mankind travel on our journey toward eternity? Which road we travel is important; which song we sing for eternity is important; which song will you sing? Will it be a ‘praise & worship’ song? Math. 7:13.
Looking at the two roads with two gates; they are described as narrow and wide; many travel the wide road and only few travel the narrow road. Where does the wide road end at; probably not the pearly gate; the narrow road leads to the pearly gate. On the other hand, it would appear that the secular world travels the wide road and will go thru the wide gate that leads to GOD’s judgement; with eternal suffering and sorrow forever.
It is a choice BUT only one of the choices lead to the GIFT of eternal life in heaven. ‘Father God’ has provided the Plan; HE has also provided the atonement blood needed. Each person gets the chance to make their own choice; like the two thieves on crosses beside Jesus. Choose wisely.
Father God provided the PLAN; Jesus is the CROSSOVER from the ‘old’ LAW to the ‘new’ GRACE thru FAITH PLAN. Are we in tune with ‘the Fathers’ PLAN?
