Bible Study – 2 ‘All’

Bible Study – 2 “ALL”

Lesson Point: When scripture uses the word ALL, who is included?

Romans 3:23–          “All have sinned”; it means ALL fall short of the divine standard.

`           * What is that STANDARD; here is one standard, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself”. Can you ‘LOVE’ if you don’t have the Holy Spirit within?

ALL means ALL, that is, every mortal; male and female who have ever lived.

Romans 6:10–          Christ died once, for ALL.” He was the substitute; the JUST [innocent] for the unjust [guilty].

HE was the sacrificial Lamb or goat; we who are saved are in a manner, the scapegoats; we do not have to eternally die for the sins we have committed.

AtonementLeviticus 16:1-10 is the ordnance. Matthew 27:15-24 is the fulfillment.

Philippians 1:1–     “to ALL the saints in Christ.” This is a limited ALL; addressed to only Christians. Only those who have put their TRUST in Messiah / Christ as their Savior.

In 2 Cor. 1:1 the Apostle also addresses ALL, to just the Christian followers.

Matthew 28:18– When Christ uses the word ALL authority, does it mean ALL?

It means absolute sovereign authority; God, the Father, has exalted him above ALL with the title of King of kings.

Verse reads, “Jesus has been given ALL authority in Heaven and on Earth”

1 John 1:7- When we repent & make the choice for Christ, ALL of our sin is erased, we are justified. This is a limited ALL; it is just to the one(s) who TRUST in Christ BUT every single sin, ALL of them are blotted from your sin record.

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. [We are ALL sinners until justified; given a Clean Slate.]

1 John 2:17-          All the things of the world are not necessarily sinful, but God should always come first.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. [There is a challenge; the godly way or the secular way; one leads to the narrow gate & the other leads down to Hades.]

James 2:10  It only takes 1 sin to make us a sinner, therefore 1 or 10 is still sin. All of us must be forgiven.

But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. [Any or All require a PARDON from the judgement by God.]

Colossians 1:17  Before the first thing in ALL of creation, was formed, Christ existed as God the Son. The words Our’ and Us’ in Genesis 1:26 is plural.

17 He [Christ] is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. [You and I are a part of the ALL that Jesus shed blood for, salvation is a gift when it is accepted.]

ALL who Trust in Jesus are SAVED; and ALL who Reject or never repent and put their Trust in Jesus have a different eternal abode.

At the last heartbeat will you be joining the one with ALL authority?
