Incomparable Colossians 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Messiah        John 4: 25        The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.”    John 1:41

Vine               John 15:1        “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.

Word             John 1:1           In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.

the Way        John 14:6-7    Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.”  [The only WAY for mankind to get to heaven is Jesus]

These are just a few of the many descriptions that Christ was called. These that are written are enough to understand that Jesus was special indeed. One last name to define and consider.

The Savior = One who rescues or saves; according to Webster

Savior           John 3:17        God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world BUT that the world, through him, might be SAVED.  [One person to pay for sin; so that one person becomes savior to many]

Savior           Luke 2:10-11  But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior who is Christ the Lord.”

Savior           Titus 2:11-13  11 For the Grace of God has appeared …. 13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who gave himself for us……

A question just to end this short study..? What name do you think Christ was called by his Hebrew mother? _________.   What name do you think the angel called out to the woman who was selected to give birth to the Holy Child? ________.

Was it Jesus? Or did his family call him Yeshua?

Was it Mary?  Or since she was Hebrew, was it actually Miriam; the same as Moses sister?

What was the name of Peter in the Hebrew?
